Petal Palace: The Flower Shop Next Door

Project Overview

CHALLENGE

Many floral shops often rely on traditional visual cues (roses, script type, vintage textures) within their branding, which can make it hard for them to stand out or convey a unique personality in today’s market. Without a distinct visual language, these flower shops run the risk of blending into the background instead of becoming a memorable part of their communities.

How could we position a flower shop identity that feels inviting and purposeful? Something that resonates with locals, feels shareable on socials, and works across physical and digital touchpoints?

OBJECTIVES

  • Create a design system that supports everyday brand experiences

  • Develop a distinct visual identity that feels cheerful, accessible, and memorable

  • Explore motion storytelling to bring the brand personality to life

STRATEGIC DIRECTION

The central strategy was to balance charm with intention to create an idea that feels light and joyful but designed to be light and scalable.

Key strategic choices:

  • Playful tone: A color palette and visual voice that feels sunny and inviting, encouraging interaction and repeat engagement

  • Modular identity: Logo suite and asset set that’s adaptable across platforms

  • Movement and personality: A short and dynamic video concept extending the identity to motion, reinforcing the brand’s energy and feel

OUTCOME & VALUE

This brand identity captures a lively yet intentional visual voice that feels like a local  favorite with personality. The mockups, short-form video, and storytelling demonstrates how this identity can extend beyond logos and the versatility across physical and digital touchpoints make the brand memorable and usable.

Even as a concept project, Petal Palace illustrates how thoughtful design choices can elevate a simple business idea into a cohesive brand experience that’s ready for real-world application and growth.
